New Jersey Mandatory Posting Updates
12/2025 - Wage and Hour Law Abstract - The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development has updated their Wage and Hour Law Abstract notice. The updated notice reflects an adjustment of the state minimum wage rate to $15.92/hour for most employers, $15.23/hour for seasonal and small employers (fewer than 6 employees), $14.20/hour for agricultural employers, $6.05/hour cash wage for tipped workers, and $18.92/hour for long-term care facility direct care staff members, effective January 1, 2026.
12/2025 -Captive Audience - The State of New Jersey's new Captive Audience law prohibits employers from forcing employees to attend mandatory meetings or communications about politics, religion, or union-related topics. The new law protects workers from employer-coerced speech and allows them to refuse such meetings without retaliation, aligning with broader trends to bolster worker rights and free speech in the workplace.
New Jersey Non-Mandatory Posting Updates
04/20 - Discrimination and Harassment in Employment - The New Jersey Division on Civil Rights has updated their Discrimination and Harassment in Employment notice. The updated notice reflects a correction of the posting statute, N.J.A.C. 13:8-1.
