Mandatory Federal Labor Law Posting Changes in Effect August 1st
Employers are required to display the updated Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Employee Polygraph Protection Act Notices in the workplace. Both updated notices became effective August 1st, 2016 (learn more).

Rhode Island Mandatory Posting Updates
01/2026 - Minimum Wage - The Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training has updated their Notice to All Employees - Information Employers Must Post notice. The updated notice reflects the correction of certain minimum wage rates applicable to full-time students under 19 years of age employed by certain organizations, as well as minors ages 14 and 15 who work no more than 24 hours per week.
01/2026 - Notice to All Employees - Information Employers Must Post - The Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training has updated their Notice to All Employees - Information Employers Must Post notice. The updated notice reflects a new law amending the temporary caregiver insurance program to provide wage replacement benefits to workers who take time off to care for a sibling. In addition, bone marrow donors can access one week of temporary caregiver insurance benefits, and organ donors can access thirty business days of temporary caregiver insurance benefits.
12/2025 - Minimum Wage - The Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training has updated their Notice to All Employees - Information Employers Must Post notice. The updated notice reflects an adjustment of the state minimum wage to $16.00/hour, effective January 1, 2026.

01/2018 - Prevailing Wage - The Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training has released notices related to the Healthy and Safe Families and Workplaces Act and the Ban-The-Box law. These are new notices that were not previously available. Additionally, the Department has made a few grammar and layout changes to the Prevailing Wage notice, Rhode Island Parental and Family Medical Leave Act notice, Unemployment Insurance Benefit notice and the Rhode Island Right-To-Know notice.These changes are effective January 1, 2018.
